From the author of the popular Weather Warden series comes the debut of an exciting new series set in Morganville, Texas, where you would be well advised to avoid being out after dark.

College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don’t show many signs of life, but they’ll have Claire’s back when the town’s deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.

This book has been sitting in Mount TBR for ages now, and I really regret not reading it sooner. I am completely addicted now, and I am very happy I have the rest of the books in the series here, waiting to be read. The writing isn’t that fantastic, but the plot is intruiging, which captivates readers. Glass Houses is a real page turner! Now, off to start book 2!

A totally random side note – but does it drive anyone else insane that Glass Houses doesn’t match the rest of the books in the series? All the rest have black spines and Glass Houses has a blue spine, so it just doesn’t look right on the shelf.

I loved this series they get better and better as the books go on.

Kiss of Death's spin is pink. I hate how it's blue then black and black etc. then pink. They do not look good together.

  5. Alex (Tales of a Teenage Book Lover) says:

I really don't like that cover. I have the bindup version of the first 2 books and will read them soon.

  6. Briana says:

I've always wondered about this book :) Good review!

  7. A Life Bound By Books says:

Great review, I love this series too. The covers kinda bug me jumping all around from blue, black, and now pink, but eh, what can you do? I have all the others here, just need to read the last 2 I think.

Enjoy the rest of the series, can't wait to hear what you think of them.

  8. Jaynie says:

I absolutely love this series. I picked up the first one at the library when it was first released and have been hooked since. I don't know if I can make it till Ghost Town in released in October.

  9. sarahmullengilbert says:

I agree, it really bugs me when spine colors don't match. Or when you're filling in an older series and the re-released covers are totally different.

But on the plus side, glad you enjoyed the book :) Putting it on the to-read list.
