The fragile peace between humans and vampires in Morganville is in trouble, and when Claire takes drastic action, she’s put under serious pressure to re-establish the barriers that keep the town residents inside, and wipe the memories of those who leave. But working with her half-crazy vampire boss Myrnin means that things don’t always turn out as planned … and as the people of Morganville begin acting strangely, Claire and her friends must solve the mystery and try to put things right. But one by one, her allies are turning on her … even the ones she trusts most.
The Morganville Vampires series keeps getting better and better. I have found a new favorite in this series. Like the previous books, Ghost Town is jam packed with action, vampires, and the chaos only Morganville can bring.
I definitely had no idea what was coming in Ghost Town. I could not put it down, and was absolutely addicted. This series is like a drug, each book captures you and then you sit there reading, straight through, usually like an addict.
Another thing I really love about Ghost Town is how Caine brings you into the world once again, and it felt like I had read Kiss of Death yesterday. Sometimes when reading a series, it takes a bit to get back in the world and remember everything – this is not the case. I refell in love with all the characters almost instantly. I love Eve’s quirkiness and the sweetness Michael and Shane bring to the book in their own way.
Rachel Caine is definitely the master of cliff hangers. Ghost Town ends with this shocking conclusion. Actually, I take that back – the very last thing that takes place in the book, I felt coming on. But the ending chunk before that was a mass of awesome, just one thing unfolding after the next. It was absolutely insane and so good! Bite Club is going to be absolutely brilliant.
Ghost Town was an outstanding read. Each page had me longing for more – I simply could not put it down. This cover is my favorite of the series so far. It’s gorgeous. I am so excited for Bite Club, to see where Claire, Eve, Michael, and Shane’s story will take us next.
