The final battle is brewing between Vampires and Slayers. But for Sunny McDonald, the true war is being fought over her heart.

Though now officially back in the arms of her vampire boyfriend Magnus, Sunny finds she still can’t forget the gentle mortal Jayden who once saved her life. And when the darkness threatens to steal his humanity, Sunny finds herself with a choice. Stay true to Magnus and the Blood Coven or defy them in a desperate attempt to save Jayden’s soul.

Meanwhile, the Blood Coven is gearing up for its toughest fight yet–going head to head with a splinter group of Slayer Inc who’s regrouping in Tokyo, Japan, still determined to take over the world. In dark blood bars and hidden temples, it’ll be Vampires vs. Slayers in a showdown that could cost Sunny not only her heart…but also her very life.

I love these book quite a lot, especially books told from Sunny’s point of view. Blood Ties is no let down from the prior books in this fabulous series. It is definitely a contender for my favorite book in the series, this will probably change when the next book comes out, as the books grow by leaps and bounds with every new installment.

I definitely was not sure what I would think of this one, when I finished Night School I was excited for this one to come out. I finally got it, and read the first few chapters and was a bit iffy. That lasted like two chapters and then I was unable to put down the book until I finished. The plot was super original, and I am really excited to see where it will go from here.

I felt all the characters really grew in this book. In books past, I really was not too much a fan of Rayne, but I felt in this book she really came into her own. I loved seeing Jayden and Jarreth again, as I just adore both of them.

I will be counting down the days until Soul Bound is out. With the ending Mancusi gives, I feel like it will be one heck of a story and one fun journey! This series is one of those series to read when you want a fun read that won’t make you think too much.

Cover Rating: A – I absolutely love this cover. I think it’s super pretty. I feel like it has a Vampire Academy feel to it, with the face over the gate. I also feel like it gives Sunny a lot more authority that she’s had in the past, which makes me happy.

  2. Lisa says:

I tried the first book in this series and it was ok. Do they get better as the series progresses?

  3. Emily says:

The cover looks very good. I haven't read this series before. It does seem exciting based on the plot. This series will be on my To Read List now. It does remind me the Vampire Academy series which I have read. I liked that series very much so this series might be the new vampire books for me to read. It nice to know that the characters develop and grow throughout the books.

I haven't heard of this series and the author so i'm totally clueless about this, I think I might read the first book since you gave this one a 5 star review! another book added in my list gosh it's been piling up lol

  5. Casey says:

  6. Ronyka7 says:

  7. Lovely says:

this one is the 6th book? i wouldn't mind if you could link your past review of the previous books cause it's kind of hard by just judging on this one. some series are good on the latter part of the series some started not really good, so i really suggest to link up the past review if you have them

  8. We Fancy Books says:

Hmm I have to agree with Lovely here… I think it's better to link your past review of the previous books, remember that a blog is like a marketing tool. marketing people from book company contact bloggers to create review and buzz for books and this one is not an exception, every review posted and read is a crucial one it's either you persuade your readers to buy the books or not, as for this one you posted a review which is the 6th book of the series without linking the previous books tho it's not required it is better to have your readers read your review of the previous books for them to judge weather they would buy/read the book or not. sorry for this long comment but it seems like i'm making sense here lol
