2012 YA/MG Fantasy Challenge

This will be the central hub of information for the 2012 YA/MG Fantasy Reading Challenge. In case you haven’t heard about the challenge, the goal is to read and review 10 YA/MG fantasy books that come out at any point in 2012. Anyone can join at any point throughout the year. The initial post for the challenge can be found here.

Each month will have a post in which participants will link to their reviews. Reviews can be posted on a personal blog or Goodreads. I will be having monthly giveaways for participants, and your way to entering is through linking your reviews each month. There will also be a grand prize giveaway at the end of the year for everyone who successfully completed the challenge. Sign ups are at the bottom of the page. (Add your link to your challenge post and you are signed up!)

I will be featuring authors who have fantasy books coming out this year periodically throughout the year in “Fantasy Five” interviews and will also try to do a compilation at the beginning of each month of all the fantasy books coming out that month. The challenge runs January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. Sign-ups will end Oct 15, 2012.

A note about the Goodreads list is that please remember anyone can add books to it, so while I’ll do my best to monitor it, some things may slip by. Below is a spreadsheet of all the YA/MG Fantasy releases coming out in 2012 that I could find. I included all types of fantasy: Urban, high, epic, general fantasy, etc. The spreadsheet can also be viewed online here. All three of these will be edited as I find more books.

Authors: Do you have a fantasy book coming out in 2012? Would you be interested in helping with or participating in the challenge? First off, if your book is not included in the above spreadsheet, if you let me know on this form HERE I will added it ASAP. I will also be featuring authors throughout the year in “Fantasy Five” interviews which are short 5 question interviews, as well as guest posts. I also am having monthly giveaways for participants for fun and a nice incentive. If you would be interested in donating bookmarks, pins, buttons, posters, etc that would be awesome.
