Waiting on Wednesday (138) – Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Waiting on Wednesday is a topic brought to life by Jill over at Breaking the Spine. With Waiting On Wednesday you get to introduce to everyone upcoming books you’re excited about!
Inspired by Tsarist Russia, SHADOW & BONE brings to life a fantasy world of superstition and science, saints and samovars, in which a lonely refugee must leave behind her best friend- and first love- to save her country from the growing darkness of the Unsea. But first she must contend with the dangerous and decadent world of the kingdom’s magical elite and their powerful leader, a creature of dark charm and deadly ambition.
MORE fantasy! This one sounds brilliant. I can’t wait to read. I love the sound of it and I love the whole idea that it is inspired by Tsarist Russia!
What are you guys waiting on?

I saw this on NetGalley, but I had no idea it was based on Tsarist Russia! So fascinating. I’ll have to look for it again. Great pick!

I just love the premise for Shadow & Bone. It seems so different from a lot of other YA books! I can’t wait to see what the final cover version will look like.
