Authors I Auto-Buy
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and Bookish. Each week features a different topic, and you make a top ten list about it. This week’s topic is the top ten authors I auto-buy.
Topping this list is Jennifer Echols. That lady is a goddess.
Alexandra Bracken – She is such a talented writer. And writes the best stories.
Heidi R Kling – #SeaLove
Miranda Kenneally – I feel like Miranda Kenneally only gets better with each book, which I consider pretty epic. I love all three of hers :)
Joelle Charbonneau – She has this awesome adult show choir murder mystery series out AND she has this EPIC dystopian coming out in June. It’s called The Testing and it’s awesome. Like seriously. This is coming from me, the girl who dislikes dystopian :)
Sarah MacLean – I LOVE LOVE LOVE her books.
Leila Sales – This lady writes the BEST books. They are fun and funny and just all around epic. They’re feel good sort of books.
Richelle Mead – I have only read her YA, but I love love love both series.
Courtney Allison Moulton - The Angelfire trilogy is pretty epic.
Leigh Bardugo – Shadow and Bone. The Darkling. Mal. FANTASY. Need I say more?
Terry Goodkind – I have destroyed so many copies of the books in his series from the consistent rereadings :)
JK Rowling - Ditto to what I said for Terry Goodkind. These books were my childhood growing up.
Hey look, there was only guy on this list. What does that say about me, ha? Who was all on your guys’s list?

I’m confessing that I still haven’t read Rowling. :hides in shame: Although I’m planning to do so sometime this year. Maclean is an author that keeps calling me to try.

I read about a quarter of Bracken’s THE DARKEST MINDS through Netgalley and decided I wanted to read it with a physical copy. I have her debut still on my TBR. I can’t wait to read them! She has a great writing voice.
Same with SEA. On my TBR. And THE SEASON (MacLean) and PAST PERFECT (Sales).
Leigh Bardugo. Just finished reading SHADOW AND BONE almost a week ago. SO GOOD. Not quite auto-buy just yet for me, but I’m reading SIEGE AND STORM now, so maybe…

So I haven’t read Sarah McLean, but I’m pretty sure I have one of her books on my shelf AND the same thing goes for Jennifer Echols. Looks like I’m going to have to check these ladies out! :)

You’re the first one I’ve seen to put Leigh Bardugo too! I just fell in love with Shadow and Bone and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book! I also recently read the first Sword of Truth book, so I hope I end up loving that series as much as you do!

I didn’t participate this week because I am not sure other than Michelle Moran who I would auto-buy. I am so picky! You have a good list, though.

Aw, should have put J. K. Rowling on my list! Except I have no intention of reading The Casual Vacancy. I would read any of her MG/YA books, there :)

I highly recommend both :) I’d start with Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake with Sarah MacLean and then read them in publishing order if you want to get the best experience :)
