Top Ten Best Bookish Memories
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and Bookish. Each week features a different topic, and you make a top ten list about it. This week’s topic is the Top Ten Best Bookish Memories.
There are SO many great bookish memories I have had.
One of the best was my first BEA in 2010 – I roomed with Kristi from The Story Siren and Cat from Beyond Books and we just had so much fun.
Heidi from YA Bibliophile, Kristi from The Story Siren, and I took a bookish road trip this past summer out this an event of awesome in Ohio. It was SO much fun. I got to have a great time with 2 awesome ladies and got to see awesome authors. PLUS I met Xander :)
This fall I met MIRANDA KENNEALLY! I got to have DINNER with her. And I almost died. She is one cool lady.
There was also that time I met Richelle Mead and she told me she liked my shirt, despite the fact I was so nervous to meet her that I kind of forgot how to talk.
Courtney Allison Moulton’s signings up at Schulers in Lansing are always a blast. I’ve been to two of her launch parties for the Angelfire trilogy and they are so much fun. It also helps that Courtney has the cutest dog in the universe.
BEA this last year ranks up on my top bookish moments list as well. It was just so much fun – I had so much fun meeting people and just having a general blast.
Meeting Mariah from A Reader’s Adventure was also quite fantastic. WHO KNEW YOU COULD MEET YOUR BEST FRIEND THROUGH BLOGGING?
There was this one time last year that Mariah and I went to see Sarah MacLean in a suburb of Boston. We had to take a kind of random bus there and then when we left we ended up going to iHop over by Havard are it was just a super fun night.

You’ve met so many authors. I’m jealous, but that’s so awesome! I can totally relate to forgetting how to talk around an author. When I met John Green, I was basically hyperventilating the whole time lol.

I can absolutely relate to becoming verbal mush in the face of my favorite authors. It’s happened with John Green, Melina Marchetta, Maureen Johnson, Libba Bray…oh the list goes on. :-)
